Rebecca Houlding is Of Counsel to the Law Offices of Joshua Friedman. She represents victims of sexual and racial harassment in employment and education, and represents plaintiffs in employment discrimination and retaliation cases in federal and state courts, and in mediation.

Ms Houlding has 14 years of experience in employment and civil rights law. Before becoming Of Counsel to the Law Offices of Joshua Friedman in 2006, Ms Houlding was for three years an Associate with the former Beranbaum Menken Ben-Asher & Bierman LLP, in New York, NY, where she had a diverse employment practice.

Prior to becoming an Associate at Beranbaum Menken, Ms Houlding was an Associate at Goldstein & Morris, LLP, in New York, NY, where she focused on employment and general litigation matters. Before that she was an Associate at Richard J. Silverberg & Associates, Philadelphia, PA, where she had a Plaintiff-side employment discrimination and civil rights practice.

Ms Houlding was an Adjunct Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School 2008-2009 where she gave a course in Legal Writing.

Ms Houlding is a cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law, 1995, where she was on the Deans List 1992-1995. She spent a semester abroad at Universite Jean Moulin, Lyon III, Lyon, France.

Ms Houlding also graduated cum laude from Carleton College, Northfield, MN, where she spent a semester abroad at Academie American, Paris, France.

She is Co-Author (with Jonathan Ben-Asher, Esq.): "What To Do When The Whistle Blows Or How To Blow It: Sarbanes-Oxley's Dilemmas and Protections For Lawyers," American Bar Association, August 2003, and was a speaker at New York/National Employment Lawyers Association (2003 - present) (Speaker, Fall Conference 2003).

She is admitted in numerous federal trial and appellate courts and is licensed to practice law in New York and Pennsylvania.
